First Tuesday in November, irony much Dennis?

Kucinich says he will force House vote on Cheney impeachment
From Raw Story
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) announced he would move to force a vote next week on his resolution calling for the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney.

“The momentum is building for impeachment,” Kucinich said in a statement on his Web site. “Millions of citizens across the nation are demanding Congress rein in the Vice President’s abuse of power.

Kucinich said he plans to introduce a privileged resolution, which would have priority for a House floor vote, on Nov. 6. A vote on the measure would be required within two days.
Finally, ripples in the pond. Now if they will only grow into waves.

Watch for Pelosi to come up with some maneuver to stop Kucinich. The establishment doesn't like squeaky wheels.

Pissed beat me to the punch! And Dcap seconded it.

impeaching tWit a year before his term ends is not gonna happen. there's no point in it. The GOP has no viable candidate and the Dems could run a ficus plant and get it in the oval office.

what bothers me is tWit has a 24% approval rating and the Dems STILL have no balls. But without a vetop-proof majority, the Dems are kinda screwed at the moment. Though they could just yank the pursestrings on the Iraq war.

Jonathan: I think the democratic strategy is to let things get worse and promise that things will be better with democrats in power. Except, democrats control the house damn it, and we know it. But we, apparently, aren't a minority. So the democrats will cave and moan and act like their hands are tied and will hope enough people are pissed off and believe that things will be a lot different if we get more democratic representatives and senators and the president. Truth is, things will get better because W lowered the bar to the ground, but without prodding this current democratic leadership will continue politics as usual--coddle up to the lobbyists, throw us an occasional bone, keep their masters happy.

Sorghum: Just heard on Mike Malloy that the democrats--that's right, the democrats--are going to have someone move to table Kucinich's resolution so that there is no vote. I'm just waiting for the NY primary, then I reregister. I expect the republicans to rape and pillage the treasury when they get power, but I also expect the democrats to try to stop them.
