Cheney to get a recharge

The real problem was finding a pacemaker to fit a heart that's three sizes too small.

Cheney is going in to the hospital to have his pacemaker replaced. Please let it be made in a factory with poor quality control. Georgie gets to be president for a few hours.

Jinx! I too was hoping the replacement battery was made in China. If they put melamine in dog food, imagine the shit they put in batteries.

Love the Grinch reference.

Please keep 'em comin'!

Government regulation is a bad thing. I'm sure Dick wouldn't mind being a guinea pig for the cause!

Sorghum: Yesterday evening and this morning I checked the blogs and newspaper headlines to see if there was a mention of Cheney. I didn't see any. So, I got my hopes up high. Maybe there is something they don't want to tell us? Then I did a search and saw he left the hospital after 4 hours. I then realized that the reason there were no reports is that no one gives a shit how his surgery went. Rather, no one cares that it apparently went well. And no, he doesn't care...not as long as his Halliburton options are in the money.

I'm really hoping whoever put this thing together, grabbed the old batteries out of the drawer instead of the good ones.

We've lost some good ones this year ... Molly Ivins, Kurt Vonnegut, Gerald Ford (just kidding)-- just once, can't THEY lose one of theirs? (There's no number of Jerry Falwells that could equal one Molly Ivins!)
